True Colors

As if you needed any more reasons to come to the Bay Area; there’s the food, the wine, the farmers markets, the beauty, the beach, the lax laws on certain medicines, and the open-minded culture in general, which lead me to the True Colors concert. After a day at Tamarindo (see post on June 18th), eating amazing regional Mexican dishes with a group of local chefs, tasting vodkas and eau de vies at Hangar 1 in Alameda, I still had one last indulgence to squeeze out of my day off. I raced home to change into something a bit warmer and hopped on BART to take in one of the most kick ass concerts of the decade while taking in a phenomenal view of the San Francisco skyline from the Berkeley campus’s Greek Theater.  Cyndi Lauper, Erasure, Dresden Dolls, Deborah Harry, Margaret Cho, and Rosie O’Donnell rocked the house while I drank an Anchor Steam and got a contact high. Ahhh…life is good
